FAQs
1. How much does a wedding videographer cost in Kansas City?
Most Kansas City wedding videographers charge somewhere between $1,500 and $5,000+, depending on hours of coverage, crew size, and what's included in the final films. Every wedding is different, so I build custom quotes around what matters most to you — reach out through the contact form and I'll put one together.
2. When should I start planning my wedding?
Ideally 12 to 18 months out — popular Kansas City venues and vendors book up fast. Start with your venue, then lock in your photo and video team early, since we can only film one wedding per day. To help you stay on track, I created a FREE Wedding Planning Checklist that covers everything to plan, in the order to plan it — you'll receive it when you reach out through my contact page!
3. Do you travel for weddings?
Absolutely. I'm based in Kansas City, Missouri, and I film weddings all over the country. Travel details are worked into your custom quote.
4. What is your filming style?
Candid and documentary. I won't stage your day or steal you away for hours of posed shots. I capture what's genuinely happening and shape it into a film that feels like the day felt — no heavy filters, no forced moments.
5. How long does it take to get our wedding film?
I can typically get your wedding video out to you within 8 to 10 weeks! With certain packages I will get you a great wedding day reel to post shortly after your wedding!
6. Do you work well with photographers?
Yes — I do this every weekend. I'm used to coordinating timelines, staying out of each other's shots, and making sure photo and video both get what they need. If you haven't booked a photographer yet, I'm happy to recommend people I love working with.
7. What do you need from us before the wedding?
Just a few things: your timeline, your vendor team contacts, and a vendor meal on the day. I'll send over a simple questionnaire after booking so I show up fully prepared.
8. Do you film elopements and small weddings?
Yes — some of my favorite films are intimate elopements. The approach is the same; the quote is built around your day.
9. How do we officially book you?
Fill out the contact form and tell me about your wedding. We'll set up a quick call to make sure we're a good fit, and then a signed agreement and retainer locks in your date. I only take on a limited number of weddings per year so every couple gets my full attention.
10. Why should we hire a videographer at all?
Photos freeze a moment — film brings it back. The vows, the toasts, your grandmother's laugh, the way the dance floor sounded at midnight. Ten years from now, that's what you'll be glad you have.
